I have a .50 Caliber ammo can full of .38 Specials that I need to shoot ... so I grabbed a couple hundred and went to the Range this morning.

The ammo can is filled with 3 different .38 Special loads. One load is with the 160 gr. Flat Point cast bullet over 3 gr. of Bullseye. Then there is a 158 gr. round nose bullet over 2.5 gr. of Bullseye and some over 3 gr. of Bullseye. and a 158 gr. round flat point over 3 gr. of Bullseye.

Some years ago I was in a big rush to pack up stuff and move it and somehow I dumped all 3 loads into one can. With one bullet having 2 different powder charges it's quite interesting ... one load goes POW and one goes PIFFLE.

But it makes you work on your follow-through. And at 10 yards they both work real well for point shooting clay pigeons on the backstop.

I sorted out the bullets best I could and the Round Nose with a Flat Point seem pretty accurate.

In spite of the differences I find it is good practice.
