I remember as a boy examining a British Bulldog in a pawn shop. The guy refused to sell it to me, acting sort of cagey about it. At the time I was thinking it some sort of .44 cal.? I have an example of a .450 Adams cartridge in my collection. It is a very small looking cartridge for a .45, much smaller than the .455 Webley. Very fragile case and paper thin rim. I'd figure ballistically pretty anemic. But back then even a scratch would easily become infected and they would just chop off the appendage that was problematic. If that didn't kill you afterward. Thing is, no one wants to take a slug! But I sure can't see it as a stopper. Surely better than the .32 or .35's though.
