Combat shooting (still am but don't do the required time in the running part). I shot 200 rounds every day, rain, sleet or snow. I shot all afternoon and reloaded my ammo that night. I used Red Dot and the 230 ball (hard cast lead). I think I wore out some parts in my Dillon 450, but I still have it and 7 of the newer models.
During all that time I reloaded my 45 Long Slide with 5.5 grains of Red Dot and the 230 ball. I have an AMT Long Slide 45 that I know I have a bit over 75,000 rounds thru it and never had to change a part. I used to keep track of the primers I used and I know I hit the 75,000 round mark years ago. I got out of Combat shooting when they told me I could never use the word "combat", that I had to use the term "action shooting". I told them what I thought of that pussy idea and nerver shot there again.

Kase continued to use my 45 and then as Colleen was into "combat shooting" also we built Kase and Colleen custom 38 Supers. Then I really had to do a lot of loading for the two of them. Plus finding a cheap source of 38 Super brass. To reach the required power factor we had to load the 38 Super brass HOT and out of 40 rounds each of them shot in the match there were maybe 15 pieces of brass that were reloadable. The others had such a bulge they were trashed. But I went thru an 8 lb keg of Red Dot pretty quick.
