I have a long range .308 bolt rifle and a .50 BMG LR rifle but my skill level, which is amateur at best, is pathetic. Getting on a 4x8' plywood backer at 1000 yds. is my fun. (it's not as easy as you think with the breeze blowing) Maybe some steel ringing at several hundred yards. BTW I am much more deadly with the .308 than any-other caliber I own. Modern optics are looney-tunes expensive to pay the game seriously too. LOL
