Very seldom do I build a gun for myself but

it's about time. Kase and I have been working on a special 10mm long slide for over 2 years. Not just a standard long slide but a 7" long slide, chambered in 10mm. We have literally been working on this for over 2 years, doing a little here and a little there when we have 5 minutes to spare.
But the time was worth it. I did the Black Chromex finish on it yesterday morning and finished it up late yesterday. It is all I hoped for. A very seldom seen 7" barrel long slide in 10mm finished in Black Chromex with a set of double diamond grips on it. It has most of the special features a custom 1911 should have and all that I need. I even have a holster to fit it. I shot it last evening and at 25 with open sights it shoots about a silver dollar group. It isn't a target gun but then I am not a target class shooter. I normally shoot my custom AMT Long Slide in 45 ACP in any combat match I run but the next one will be run with this new 10mm. It will also be on my hip while hunting for a finishing shot if necessary. This one is a keeper.
