The "civilization" of shooting sports

is an asinine move to separate us from our roots. We're doing a Field Target shoot at the local club in December. The national shooting federation down here is affiliated with ISSF which has already woosified or abolished so many of the shooting sports. On their range they have a "no camo allowed" rule. Since this shoot's to be in conjunction with the official WFTF affiliated association (to which I also belong) I was prepared to throw down the gauntlet if they proceeded to cause is problems with such idiotic rules. Field Target has always been a hunting simulation so animal targets and camo have always been a part of it. They didn't insist on their idiotic rules though so I'll be participating in both organizing and shooting in the event.

Oh. And the same citified folk have their finger in the already "civilized" action shooting game. And now they don't allow even the traditional silhouette targets but they have to be "diamond shaped" as shooting anything vaguely resembling the human torso is verboten.

Thanks for the additional info on that AMT. I wanted one back in the day but being a poor college student didn't leave much for gun funds at the time.

I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants.
