Reeder Custom Guns - The pictures of the targets we had to shoot in

the combat shoots. I posted these down below but I figured they would get lost in the other posts. First 3 typical targets with one hostage. The 3 include a close relative of WB (Scott Boggs).

As I mentioned below you were penalized if you shot the whiskey bottle.

This is one of the harder targets and a bullet thru the door didn't count. It had to be on the bad guy.

Those would be some tough targets to score on the clock! I don’t do well under tactical pressure. I need to practice for sure. I can hit a 5 gal. bucket at 100 yds. (With a good rest) but get me at 7 yds, from a holster and scream at me, I might miss the whole works! It’s a different game.

15 miles outside of town on a big ranch. We run down this dry creek bed trying not to stumble over large rocks and the targets are set in the brush on either side or in the juniper bushes. Sometimes there are 2 or more targets at the same time. The shooters do not know where they are ahead of time. Some are kill targets and some no kill targets, plus a few hostage targets, usually 20 targets total. You are required to shoot 2 rounds per target, 20 targets, so you are carrying 40 rounds of ammo which works out to 6 or 7 1911 magazines.

The kill zone is drawn with a pencil ahead of time, but not visible to the shooter during his run. Your score is based on the holes in the kill zone and also based on your time. Running down a rocky dry creek bed plus trying to find the targets and reload while you are running is hard.

We normally run a rifle course also. It is run down this same dry creek bed but going in the other direction. The guns are AR-15, or any other semi-auto rifle. Same as the handgun except the targets are farther away and hidden better, On this one 3 rounds per target. 60 rounds require a mag change about half way thru. Same rules.
