Reeder Custom Guns - If someone were to ask you what were the top 14

cartridges in today's calibers that would be the most versatile and the most popular, what would you say? A while back somebody that is lacking in music knowledge asked one of the main folks at Sportsman's Warehouse this question and I think they both need to lay off the hard liquor for a while. Here are the top 14 (why 14 I have no idea, maybe he was counting on his fingers) cartridges that Sportsman's Warehouse says everybody needs to have and that were the most versatile. That means everything from squirrels to bull elk. And they listed no rimfire cartridges at all. Also this was posted on Fox Entertainment last night. And the comments were mine so if you disagree that's OK. That's why I post this here, to give us someone to disagree with. Here we go...Sportsman's Warehouse's most important calibers..
1. 30-06
2. 270
3. 308 (so far so good)
4. 375 H&H...maybe
5. 7-08 (stretching it a bit)
6. 375 Ruger
7. 376 Steyr (really?)
8. 300 Winchester Magnum
9. 45-70
10. 25-06 (good cartridge but top 14?)
11. 7mm WSM (now he is really stretching things)
12. 243
13. 7mm Magnum (and they said the 7 WSM was better than the 7mm Remington Magnum?)
14. here is the clincher...ready?
14. it's the 450 Bushmaster Now how many serious hunters have ever heard of the 450 Bushmaster?

OK there you go. The Sportsman's Warehouse says you need to have one of each of these in your list of home defense/hunting guns. So get out there and start buying these "have to have calibers".

And when you get thru snarfing at these calibers, just for chits and grins give me your list of 15 calibers you consider the most popular and most versatile for hunting.
And to get you started here are my 15 calibers (and remember I am not a rifle person so some of these might be stretching things a bit) and make it 15 hunting centerfire cartridges and rimfire cartridges. No wildcat cartridges (and you know that breaks my heart) Here you go. My 15 cartridges.
