is a doozy. 18 inches so far, actually as of about 6PM. Snowing hard all day and still is with a NW wind about 35 MPH. Should be a real hummer getting to work in the morning. Kase went into town to meet with some buddies to watch the 2 football games. He called about an hour ago and said it was too rough trying to drive in this mess so he was staying in town in a friend's house. If he can't make it in his 4X4 Raptor truck the roads must be bad. I guess we shall see in the morning. Besides the snow our overnight temps are running 5 above to about 5 below.
This is just the tip of the big storm heading east and NE from here. So you guys east of us, get ready.

We were hit at the farm with 11" of snow Saturday into

Sunday. It was beautiful but as usual a lot of work. Mules and horse were tucked away in the barn. Not looking forward to this next one.

But Andy , snow is so beautiful!

Hope y'all are OK. Stay warm and safe. Look out for Clifford and Gus.
Give Charlene a hug.

Thanks for the heads up! It helps us.

It’s usually 2-3 days then it often hits us. Usually ice storms and rough (for us) cold on our animals. It gives us a head start.

Puffy used to let me know when a bad system

would hit his area in central California that was heading our way. It would normally be 2 days before it hit us. It would normally just be heavy rain in Puffy's area but by the time it hit us in northern Arizona it would be snow. As soon as it hit us I would try to pass it along to you guys east of us. Sometimes the system would veer north and end up hitting above Texas, but usually, it would head east right toward you guys.

They are calling for 60 MPH winds here in NY,

Got the wood stove ready and gas for the generator. Winds out of the south are supposed to be bad as the meteorologist said that, the trees here have grown to brace themselves for northern winds. Never heard that before.
