Bainbridge Georgia. Taurus just opened up a big new plant there and that's good. But another group wants to open up another plant with the purpose of experimenting on 30,000 monkeys and killing them after the experiments. I have never agreed with PETA or any of the animal rights groups but I might have to change on this one. My sister lives there and sent me this...

You may not want to hear this, but knowing is better than guessing.

My aunt and uncle were both vertinary pathologist who worked for a number of biotech companies until retirement. The companies would produce compounds to cure common ailments, and during the testing process…before they got to human testing…they would do animal testing with primates. My aunt and uncle would review slides of internal organ cells and report truthfully if the compounds were destroying the primates or not. If Advil works for you, know that many monkeys died to make sure it would work in humans.

FWIW,

I know all that but I still don't have to like it.

I am a hunter and killing is part of hunting but I try to always do it without causing suffering. A while back a friend told me his wife worked in some sort of lab where they did testing on animals. One test involved several Beagle puppies where they broke their legs in testing how quickly broken legs healed on younger animals as opposed to older animals. I hate PETA but would have gladly joined them in protesting that test.
