dog house and added another heat lamp. She will no doubt get some inside time too, poor beast. I do need to add another heat lamp in the chicken coup. I'm filling a couple propane 20 lb. cylinders just in case. I don't like being cold.
I thought of tacking up some reflective heat blankets (mylar) to the stall walls. If the goats wouldn't teat it off it would really reflect all their body heat and be a wonderful place to bed.
A fellow made a tent lean-to with the mylar then had clear sheeting in front, sealing it mostly. A small fire a safe distance away allowed passage of the energy through the plastic sheeting and the mylar reflected it. A sort of sauna in the woods. By golly it worked. It simply proved the validity and reflective qualities of that plastic space blanket stuff. With some creativity I think it could help in the barn or dog house outside.
