When they are a little cheaper. They’ve really gone up last few years. We have lots of woods. I could keep wood just by cutting up toppled trees.

I’d be happy with a smaller one, just a little cooking surface. May just do propane logs in this house.

There is a company in Knoxville Tennessee that has been making them for 250 years or more. After our first winter of heavy snow and loss of electricity a few times I decided to do something to solve that problem and ordered the stove.
We go thru around 3 cords of wood a year although I think this year we will hit 4 due to the extreme cold.
We are on a well that hasn't given us any problems so far other than putting a new pump in several years ago. All in all we are getting by which a lot of folks are having trouble doing. The families back east, in the north east and the north west are really having a hard time. In some areas 100 inches of snow is not unusual. There have been several times were we had well over 100 inches of snow.
One side of our house is nearly covered in 2023.
