that has me worried. Folks that have to can get around in the snow but ice is another matter. It also brings lines and trees down into lines. I have some propane and a backup kerosene heater but sure don't want to use them. Also the utility power off means the clock is ticking on the water system too. Tanks provide pressure but if depleted the pumps can't refill unless they are on a standby generator.
Our water system has them, but the rural associations do not.
Do you have an alternative heat source?
