linebaugh in a Marlin, the shorter case tends to bobble when it is levered up to the mouth of the chamber. Years ago Marlin announced that they had an 1895 in 475 Linebaugh and took orders at the SHOT SHOW. When it came time to actually build the guns they found out it didn't work. They tried for a good while and then gave folks their deposits back.

We managed to get one Marlin made in 475 Linebaugh but based on the 336 frame. It worked but it was never completely reliable. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Plus we had to gut the internals of the 336 and re-work them to make it work. Just not worth the hassle.
