I got it, but what to do with it?!!

A genuine 50 yr. old brand new handgun hunting scope! The mounting difficulty poses small issues. I do have TC, Ruger, and S&W mounts. I even thought of scoping a less loved Hawes .22 SAA, but I have a Ruger SS so outfitted. TCs of course. My 8-3/8” M17 S&W? Maybe a new Ruger .22, the Super Wrangler version of the cheap little SA, perhaps the old Ruger mount would interchange as with a Single Six?

I’ll think of something. Need a lighter recoil application. The original Phantom came out in the mid 1960’s. It was 1.3x, a big deal at the time. The Magnum Phantom (2.5x) came out later in the early 70’s. It’s success fostered the major manufacturers to follow suit. But the rail mounting had limitations. TC kept rail mounting until this century I believe.
