I’ve not heard much of the newish .400 Legend (10mm). A re-do of the ancient .401 WSL based on the 6.8 case. The .350 is not bad, sort of an Uber .357 max rimless, mindful of the equally ancient .351 WSL. (The .30 Carbine was based upon the .32 WSL, sort if a high pressure .32-20 Rimless)

With the AR type mag it’s likely a. .350 if I were guessing.

Here's a nutty one for you. lol

I'm sure it is quite fine. I like thinking out of the box.

A lot of nice features on this gun, at a really decent price

Am interested in the .204 Cartridge. Anyone have any experience with this round?

I too love the .204 Ruger. Besides the GNR rounds

that use it as a parent case. The standard .204 basically gives a longer barrel .223 or less report/blast with .22-250 trajectory and explosive expansion. The bullet weighs considerably less but boy is it sailing! I had great difficulty getting chrono readings.

I had a Encore with a 26" barrel. The only animal I shot was a large bird at around 200 yds. The terminal performance cooked that chicken good. I liked the heft of that Encore, it held really steady. The Contender platform would be more handy for a .204 though. I do have a Ruger Compact Ranch in .300 to shoot cast bullets suppressed. I like the action and gun just fine. The stock I have is flimsy and rubbery. That new stock in the picture looks to have that sorted. The barrel should be very fancy (a waste) for that depicted platform, a cartridge good for maybe 200 yds. at best.

Have heard with the .204 scope stays on target after the--

shot. Not very much recoil at all. Wonder what the barrel life is shooting the hot, fast loads?

I think a good while, not much worst than .223.

In a single shot platform or shooting 3-shot groups it would outlast you. An AR might not last as long if you tried to run mags through it, but who would do that.

You can back off to 3800-4000 fps and it's coasting.

My 9 lb. rifle did not move around much in recoil at all. A neat experience.
