Our spring HHC is less than 2 months away. I hope

you guys are making plans to be there. This will be our first spring HHC in quite a few years and it should be a good one. Cool mornings and pleasant afternoons and a lot of animals to help you fill up your freezer.
If you haven't made any of our HHCs, HHC stands for Handgun Hunter's Challenge, and it is a challenge to put some of these critters down.
Now it says handguns but you don't have to use a handgun. Use whatever you are comfortable with. This special HHC is labeled a Big Bore/Big Boar hunt and means if you like bring that big bore rifle or handgun and go after one of the big boars on this preserve. We have had a Big Bore/Big Boar once before and guys were bringing out the big guns and dusting them off to hunt these big hogs.
Like I mentioned above you don't have to bring and hunt with any certain weapon. handguns, rifles, shotguns, archery, whatever works for you. It is just a chance for us to get that monster rifle or handgun out of the safe and hunt a big hog with it.
The HHC is held at one of middle Tennessee's premier hunting locations, the Wilderness Hunting Lodge in Monterey Tennessee. They specialize of hunting the exotics including big Tennessee hogs. We started hunting there in 2007 and have been there almost 25 times since. The area to hunt is some of the best I have ever hunted and the hospitality, food and rooms are some of the best around.
Our hunt is slated for May 2 thru 5 and the lodge holds up to 65 hunters. last fall we had almost 65 hunters there and a great time was held by all.
