unless I figured I was gonna have to shoot through body armor or get some super deep penetration.
The nose of the bullet is the working end. That's what does all the damage in flesh. The "wadcutter" part of the bullet does not open the wound channel. It cuts nice holes in paper.
All the tests that prove this were done years ago.
