We once shot a blank of tightly packed newspaper over a field. A 2.5” three pounder Napoleon smooth bore with 1000 gr. FFg. Boy that was a steep learning curve! We wore our butts out stomping a hundred little fires. Needed a break and cool drink in the shade after that. From then on NO paper packing in any guns. Lol
