Reeder Custom Guns - Bought new Colt King Cobra. Rear sight channel in top strap

is cut to big, or rear sight is to narrow. Seems to be a common problem with these, (target model, 4.2" barrel, adj sights). Sight could be moved side to side maybe 1/16"? Bought Elliason replacement sight, perfect fit, no play. Miniscule 1/16th roll pin punch required!

In my sight picture. But yours must have been excessive. I had the opposite problem with a Herters .401 but found the Ruger blade rear fit perfect. Ditto on the Virginian Dragoon by Interarms from the 1970’s. The Beretta 92 series seems to have it just right for me. If they would only figure out a good fiber optic front.
