Made a quick trip for a few chucks this afternoon,

This is a spot I fly by quite often and usually see a few scurrying from the alfalfa field.

I shot the 7GNR today with the NOE 133 gr. cast hollow point bullet and a reduced load of 3031. A good cast bullet with the right alloy is so devastating on these guys.

Distance was 50 yards +/-. Three shot three chucks.

The 7 GNR is getting a bit of publicity these days

It was one of my main guns on my first 3 or 4 African safaris and now with the missing guns it looks like it will be one of the 3 main guns with me for this coming up African hunt. The 7 GNR along with the 30 GNR and 41 GNR looks like my 3 guns for the upcoming African hunt in July.

I have .416,.440,.450,.476 GNR guns if you need them

Just say the word. My .378 is a FA I don’t figure you’d really like. Shoots great but takes a bit to get used to. Was real fun in the heat of battle but I managed, so used to TC’s. But you are welcome to anything I have.

Thanks Scotty. I plan to just have guns for

medium size game. I have taken 2 Cape Buffalo, an African lion, several Gemsbok, several Kudu, several Eland, and a multitude of small to medium size critters, so I don't really think I will need any of my large or dangerous game calibers.
Although I may put one of my large calibers in the Pelican, just in case. Again thanks and wish you were going with us. This will be my last African safari so I want everything to go as planned, which it seldom does.

Very good Mark. They don't look like they ran
