Those dang bears…Scotty!
I've had a couple friends with invasion issues.
I have a childhood friend in Trukee, CA that had a bear in their kitchen after a pancake breakfast. It entered in a window and licked all the plates. When discovered it freaked a bit, and broke the window on the way out, but not without absconding with a box of cereal. lol I think they had a freezer in the garage that has been broken into also.
Denning has bears on his front porch all the time. I'd be carrying a .454 around 24/7! Last one was a mamma Blackie with two cubs! THAT is pretty serious.
There is an old lady about ¼ mile from our
house that has been feeding a sow and 2 cubs for over a year. The Game & Fish dept have told her to stop but she keeps on feeding them on her back deck. The two cubs are probably 150 lbs each by now and could be dangerous. The Game & Fish people told her that if the bears come to her house and there is no food for them they could go thru a door or window looking for food. But she thinks the bears are harmless and just looking for food.
There was a bear about a mile from our house that Colleen hit with her car a year or two ago that was about 2 years old, not quite full grown, but big enough to do somebody some real damage.
