Well I've tried three times to post on the

all shooting rimfires at targets of opportunity on the quite frozen White River around Hurricane Refuge. It was a shoot what was handy event, we had a ball. I remember scooting big walnuts in the hull as far as we could see them across the frozen surface. Easily over 200 yds. One fellow wearing them out was shooting a Marlin bolt action .22 WMR with scope (he'd killed several Whitetails with it) and I was shooting a vintage Ruger Target .22 auto with a 4X Leupold on it, cheating for handguns! It still shoots magnificently. Easily outpacing the best and fanciest 10/22 customs today. I know you'd call me lying but way back We recorded several 1-1/2" 100 yd. groups off the bench. The bullet drops a foot but it will put them all together. I also have an air-rifle that will shoot 1/2" 50 yd. groups!

This is the pistol w/o the scope. I use an old B-Square "Mono-mount". I bought the pistol for $75 devoid of almost all bluing and the black grips worn smooth. I noted the trigger pull was exceptionally smooth and crisp through a great amount of use. The rifling shined like chrome also honed by thousands of rounds. The soldered 9-shot mag was knackered. I installed a new 10-shot mag, with the button flipped to the earlier model side. I also had it professionally "Parkerized" and Numerich offered the new-old-stock Black Eagle grips. She is a keeper. I think made in 1957!
