I think today the internal strength is all the same as it is an effort to make it different. But that too will need to be looked at. The pieces of brass are all very close except for overall length in their respective forms. But straightened out? I think they would be closer. It will be fun to look it all over. I've never noticed the rim thickness being all that different but the drawings (from different sources) show a notable difference, the .303 is fat in the rim.
