A lot of folks like to carry a revolver for self defense

The problem is it is hard to find a good solid revolver in a decent caliber for self defense. Recently we picked up an estate that had a really good revolver that is great for self defense with plenty of power. The revolver is the Taurus 431 chambered in 44 Special. What a great carry gun the 3" double action 44 Special is. Back around 1991 Taurus put out the 431 and it was a very popular revolver. The only problem was back then very few people carried a gun for self defense. It just wasn't needed.
We took a model 431 and customized it for a carry revolver. The gun is chambered in 44 special. The custom series was our Slammer and recently in an estate we picked up the original prototype Slammer. We had gone over the gun end to end and made it a bit more special.

The gun has a 3 inch barrel, and has a bobbed hammer. It has a slick action job and is finished in our satin Vapor Honed stainless. The gun originally had a Pachmayr Compac round butt grip. The old gentleman that owned it took it off and put a larger Pachmayr grip on the gun which it has on it today. The gun is slick and with 44 Special ammo is the perfect self defense revolver. Looking back we sold the full custom Slammer for $995. This beauty looks and feels unfired but I am sure the old gentleman did shoot it but it was very little. I have the gun sale priced at $695.
