We picked up an estate this morning that had

some old classic shotguns in it. Most were well used but a few were in good condition and for those that like the old classics you may find one you like.
The first one is the Browning Double Auto. This 12 gauge was only made a very short time and the book value is quite high. It is a 2 shot semi auto shotgun and the 2 shot was probably what killed it. The gun is very unusual and the first one I have seen in almost 40 years of selling shotguns. Even the safety is unusual being placed behind the trigger guard. The gun is in good condition, at least 75% or more. By the way any lines you see on the stocks are not cracks. Back in the '50s Roy Weatherby had every gun manufacturer putting heavy poly (plastic) coatings on the wood to make it shine and after a few years the poly would start to stretch and leave light cracks in the finish. Even in rough condition the Blue Book shows it at over $800. I have this classic priced at $395.

This next shotgun is an early Remington 12 gauge. This one came out well before the model 1100 and was very popular at the time. It is the Remington Sportsmans 58. It has a 26 inch barrel and if you were anybody in the early 60s you had a Poly Choke on your shotgun which this one has. This beauty is in very good condition. The wood is really nice. The book on it is $475. I have it priced at $295. A lot of folks like hunting with old classics and this is one of the most popular.

This next classic is for the person that likes the old Belgium Browning Hump Back A-5. This one was one of the most powerful shotguns at the time. It was the Magnum shotgun of the day, the Magnum Twelve. This beauty shows some wear but that is normal for one of the most popular shotguns of the day and the wear is mostly in the poly finish. It has a 29" barrel. Being made in Belgium made it one of the most sought after shotguns at the time. The book value on it is $520. I have it priced at $395.

The next classic shotgun is another Belgium Browning 12 gauge. This shotgun was actually made on Browning tooling but made by FN. The 28" shotgun barrel is marked Browning. FN was one of the top shotgun makers of the day, making guns for the American hunters and for European shotgun people too. The gun has the solid rib which was typical of European shotguns. FN is still one of the top gun makers even today. This gun was typical of European shotgun makers in that it is plain without a lot of scroll work. The butt pad was a bit rough so we installed a new pad on it. The book on this classic is $495. I have it priced at $350.
