For those going to Africa in a month or so
I just thought I would show you some pics of the area John Abraham, our PH and head man hunted for Bongo a while back. In this area, called the Congo, the leaches are about 5 inches long and the mosquitos are the size of hummingbirds. The natives are pigmys and are the last tribe to be cannibals.

I don't know who the white man is as these pics were sent to me from another friend.

The natives use bows with sharp home made steel broadheads or tall spears, The natives in one pic are carrying large nets to net fish and other critters.

What guns are you taking?
I want to do another lion hunt but with all the
new laws I can't bring it back in the states if it has been mounted, and neither can I bring the hide back into the states to have it mounted here. But the lion hunt was my favorite African hunt of all 16 African hunts.
This next hunt is something I have to decide more on it as we get closer. My Doc is putting some new rules in place that I will have to abide by. I am not sure I want to do a modified African hunt where I can only do certain things. So I don't know how this is going to work. I have taken 121 African animals in 16 safaris so I need to quit being so adamant about hunting this animal or that animal and just enjoy Africa. If it all works out I may not even take anything, just enjoy watching a couple of new hunters have a great time. I have a couple of old friends and 3 or 4 new hunters that will be on the hunt
If all goes well I will have my normal 3 guns, my 378 GNR, my 310 GNR and either my 429 GNR or my 430 GNR. The 310 and 378 both in custom G-2s and the 429 or 430 custom revolvers. We have about a month before the hunt so I have some time to do some soul searching.
