Bear guide George in AK knew that killer that was picking up girls and taking them to his sheep hunting cabin. He paper them then gave them a head start. He worked a plea for life in prison if he told authorities where the bodies were. Creepy!

I can’t remember if he was a PE teacher or janitor. George’s wife was a teacher. George had a plane and the guy had a cabin out by a glacier for a base sheep hunting camp. He tried to talk George into going into business flying out sheep hunters to go hunting. George said something was off about the guy and he found ways to dismiss the idea. He was later caught. He specialized on girls working as prostitutes. Creepy story.
The “story line” has been replayed many times. The globe trotting great hunter has grown weary hunting normal game. The transition to the most dangerous (man) is billed as a natural transition for a person possessed with blood lust.
Geez, didn't hear that story. Wonder how ol' George is doing

His wife and daughter both had some serious health issues. He had some TX connections. The man was not large in stature but had the biggest hands! He could barely shoot a FA revolver, his fingers were too small for the trigger guard. His favored Bear gun was the .338 Winchester. Said the high velocity shock seemed to have a better effect than the .375, .416's or3e even .458's! I trust him. He's a really smart fellow too.
I've kept one for that reason. My bolt gun battery is; .218 Bee, 6mm AI, .30-06, .338, and .416 Rigby. What a strange mix, like me. lol
