brass. It was very consistent whereas commercial brass changed from lot to lot. The brass has to be cut to 1.298" and then inside reamed to take a 44 caliber bullet.
Back in the mid 1970s Lee Jurras got me into the Auto Mags and when I would get bored with all the stuff required to make the brass he would send me a box of 44 Auto Mag Super Vel brass.
I had several (11 to be exact) Auto Mags. I had several in 44 caliber, a couple of 357 Auto Mags, two 41 Auto Mags (which I consider the best Auto Mag caliber). I had one 30 AMP Auto Mag that I couldn't get to function so I sent it back to Jurras.
If you get tired of your Auto Mag I will trade you out of it.
