on September 26 thru 29th. It will be at the same place they all are, that being the Wilderness Hunting Lodge in Monterey Tennessee. I am trying to keep tabs on how many are coming to the HHC, so if you plan on making it, let me know when you can. This is going to be a great hunt as all our fall hunts are. Last year and the year before that we had over 60 hunters show up, and this years will hopefully be a good one too. Right now we have 9 or 10 hunters that have signed up. If you are planning on making the hunt call Sandy at 931-979-4050 and sign up. Remember you can bring your wife or lady and bring a youngster or a friend or two also. Hope to see you there.

Any idea what the cost of a zebra is?

There are usually a few African animals

at the HHC, The Zebra was one of them. Bob Denning's daughter worked for 2 whole days trying to get within range of the Zebra and Kase helped her. Bob paid for the hunt for her. Zebras are a favorite with most lady hunters. This is Colleen's Zebra on her first African hunt.

She was rather fond of shooting monkeys too

She is up to Cape Buffalo these days.

In the past there have been Wildebeest, white Wildebeest,

Blue and Black Wildebeest,Gemsbok, Impala, Sable, and several other African game at the Wilderness Hunting Lodge where we have the HHC. That was the good thing about the exotic ranches. A person might not be able to afford to go to Africa but he could hunt the same animals on many of the exotic ranches for a lot less money.
I met John Taffin on one of the exotic ranches, the Y.O. Ranch at the Celebrity Handgun Hunt many years ago. John had also been to Africa and had taken several animals in Africa like the Eland,Impala, warthog, Zebra [image] and Gemsbok. Plus quite a few more.

Jim Taylor, having lived in Africa was a fan of Zebra too.

I have to admit I wanted a big Zebra stallion on my first trip to Africa. I got lucky and took a big stud Zebra stallion with my 450 GNR.

And for those that are wondering, John's Contender that he shot his Gemsbok with is in a new fire breathing caliber that put the animal down instantly. If you look closely you can
see the fire coming out the end of the barrel.

Is that a Colt Sauer rifle with the Zebra?

I gave Kase a 416 Remington in a Sako. I built

it to 416 Rigby. Later on BRNO and CZ started building rifles in 416 Rigby.

A custom BRNO in 416 Rigby at the top and Colleen's

458 custom on the bottom. She still has the 458 that she used in her last safari and the BRNO in 416 Rigby somehow ended in Scott Boggs' collection.

Get together’s were a blast, folks took fine trophies, and did I mention that the food was terrific. There were several Misfit’s kids that attended, who did some fine shooting. It’s a great time.

And we may let Andy come back this year.
