But the .22 Savage HP had quite the following as the .220 Swift. Almost a folklore following. I have shot the .220 Swift a bit, had a Ruger M77 HB. Outstanding accuracy and LOUD. .22-250 and Ackley version were easier to live with. The .225 Win. was (sort of) an improved Zipper. I guess the guns chambered limited it's use some, or properly constructed bullets for that high velocity.

I find the .25-35 Win. a really friendly round with lots flatter trajectory than the .30-30, it's parent.
