to beat the heat. Started shooting around 8:30 and wrapped it up in a couple hours. Was shooting my old 1911 and my Star PD carry gun.

I saw the shots going into a nice group and at the last shot I thought, "This will be easy." And it was ... eased it to the left and low.

I have a habit of doing that for some reason. :-|

Yesterday I cleaned the brass and this morning while it was cool I sized, deprimed and neck expanded them. Now all I have to do is prime them and load them.

I am going to load the 230 gr. cast flat nose bullet. I like this bullet for serious stuff. I believe it will work well should I have to shoot a fat armadillo.

One load I have chronographed with this bullet is 10.5 gr. of Blue Dot. It does 1034 fps out of my old 1911. I will not shoot them in the Star! And that load is not a plinking or practice load. I believe a steady diet would hammer the 1911, even with a heavy recoil spring.
