The change to barrel shrouds and frame mounted firing pins, the milled out safety system on the hammer slot. I know they need to modernize to stay competitive.
A friend had a .327 Federal on a J-frame. It locked up on him and he sent it to the factory. They refused to fix it and sent a voucher for one of two other models, at his discretion. His son did the same with a J-frame .357. They were both very well compensated to their satisfaction.
Ruger did some of the same on that 10/22 Mag. as did TC with their funky little .22 semi-auto rifle. Remington too. I once had an unfired Colt Anaconda .45LC that was so bad I instantly sold it when I got it back from a factory fix. I know it happens. But as in human resource, once you get done wrong, it takes 10x right actions to balance it again. In this business reputation is everything.
