Thru the years I have reclaimed the lead we shoot into

rubber 55 gallon tubs here in the shop. After we sift out the lead bullets (and jacketed bullets)I carry them home in 5 gallon buckets that are one third full. The one third full buckets weigh in the vicinity of 225 lbs. For storing in my shop I scoop out about 75 or 80 lbs of the lead and put it into another empty 5 gallon bucket that I set on a dolly. I fill that new bucket up about 75 lbs at a time. I estimated the full 5 gallon bucket weighs around 700 lbs, give or take. This let's me fill up other 5 gallon buckets with the reclaimed lead. I move the 5 gallon bucket on the dolly and move it under my work bench for storage. I have 11 of those 5 gallon buckets full of reclaimed lead. As an estimate each full bucket weighs around 700 lbs and I have 11 of them full of reclaimed lead stored under my bench and I estimate the total weight at around 7500 lbs, give or take. My plan (that never seems to happen) is to spend a snowy day melting all this lead down into ingots. I have one of the 90 lb Magma lead melting pots so I can do quite a bit in a day. Unfortunately that day hasn't come about yet.
