I have a 4" M66 S&W at large. It has some sentimental value to me but I can't remember the last time I shot it. I know I saw it a couple year's ago, or three. I was looking to find it, I want to do a RB mod to it myself (I think). Along the way dragging stuff out and looking I got distracted. My A.D.D. with guns is legendary.
I grabbed my 4" 686+ that is very close (better?) and RB already with Ken Ahern grips. Then the 4" RB 4" Redhawk .45 Colt/ACP. I put some Fiber optic sights, front and rear, on it a while back. NOW I can see them. Man what a fine do-it-all revolver! It also chambers .45 Win. mag. Denning hooked me up with a lifetime supply of what amounts to primed aluminum .45 Win. mag "brass" to load. Full moom clips plunk it right into the cylinder and it fires fantastic.
Then I found my 6.5" M624. Man it's nice. Should I mess with it? Maybe a custom 5" with a better ramp front sight? It seems so naughty, just the thought.
The search for the K-frame continues...
