nose started glowing. I have somewhat of a problem with the older reloaders that want to argue with me about loading certain calibers, mostly the necked down revolver cartridges. When they call and say they are having a problem rotating the cylinder after they have loaded the 356 GNR or 41 GNR or any of the necked down cartridges I tell them loading necked down revolver cartridges is a bit different.
I tell them loading necked down revolver cartridges takes a bit of effort, over and above the normal reloading. Right there they junp in like I just called his wife a fat pig and start telling me they have been loading for 40 or 50 years. To them there is nothing they don't know about reloading.
Usually it takes a bit to calm him down and explain how you need to full length size the case, including running the sizer die down a bit more than full length by camming it over. Uaually after a bit of explaining he sees the light of day and starts telling me dirty jokes. He finally hangs up after becoming a bosom buddy.
But like Jim said reloading certain cartridges takes a bit more info than the reloading manuals tell you. There are a lot of new and different cartridges on the reloading scene these days and sometimes you might have to call the manufacturer to have them point you in the right direction.
