It may be close to a loss leader for Ruger

But I’m glad they found a way to keep costs down to produce a functional 10/22. Smaller barrel, delete (2) dovetail cuts, no sights, cheapest stock possible, no buttplate, delete need for two more screws. It all helps and hopefully no outsourcing to Asia.

The aftermarket is rife with 10/22 upgrades. I have a carbon wrapped heavy match barrel that cost $325 by itself! Just a naked barrel.
