In a mixed group I'm always more worried about others
Someone can shoot you from a hundred yards away, through two other people, by accident. Kids especially. I always bristle up when I see someone struggling with the mechanics on a gun. I've also witnessed one basically stranger hand another stranger a fully loaded gun with one in the chamber! One raised from a lad to treat all guns loaded, because they are, hopefully the other fellow was too! But what if he uncorked a .357 to hit someone full across the room! We have been very lucky over the years in our large gatherings. Praise the Lord for it. Our common interests seems to garner a common foundation of safety awareness. But, complacency kills too.
Gun shows are bad news in that regard.
Everywhere you turn you find yourself looking down the barrels of several guns in the hands of folks who are totally clueless.
