150 (give or take) of these things in 11 states, what if each one is carrying a small 10 kiloton nuke and at a radio signal either dropped the bomb or crashed the drone into something necessary for the U.S. A 10 Kiloton would wipe out a city. It could sure make a mess of the U.S. with not a missile fired. And no way to fight back.
It is a horrible thought but I have heard of worse.

radioactive toxic material has come up missing from a port and the drones are using our advanced tech to search for it by scanning, sniffing, using various search tools. The idea is that the administration is fearful to release anything official so not to instill a sense of panic or incompetence. They have largely been unsuccessful at both so far.

But that is just some leaked unconfirmed rumors.

A drone is a difficult thing to deter. I saw a video where a Ukrainian drone dropped a net on a Russian drone below it, which made it's payload explode, and crash. But with all the propaganda, it could have been the other way around too.
