Wow! What a work Taffin’s new Small-bore book is!
What a Christmas! I received Mr. Taffin’s latest work today. Two years or more waiting and it is certainly worth it! What a valuable body of information. It stands alone as a modern work on its subject. I’m so excited to dive in. Destined to be a heralded classic. Mr. Taffin did something also so unique, he invited “guest authors”! These guys are some folks you may know; Hamilton Bowen, JD Jones, Roy Huntington, you know all these guys (other men suits as well) Uncle Gary came through in a big way! He has a fantastic article with photos to match! One of the greatest honors of my life was to be allowed to contribute. I was able to chronicle a concise little story of Al Goerg and one of his contributions, in part, to the infancy of the handgunning sport. Then another highlighting Gary’s Banshee cartridges based on the K-hornet, the .255 and .240.

I wrote both in a very rough patch of my life just after my mother passed and I had some health concerns. It was a blessing of a diversion for sure. Praise God and bless Mr. Taffin for this wonderful collection of blissful gun enthusiast wonderment. Not to forget Gary, without him I’d never have all these fun toys nor met these invaluable folks. God bless him, and his family.

All kidding aside, I am very impressed... Sincerely, JFS
