To answer a question that keeps popping up, no the new John

Taffin revolver is not the same John Taffin Classic we built several years ago. The new John Taffin revolver is being put out by Ruger and sold thru one of the finer distributors in the country.
Around 8 or 10 years ago we built a series of 100 guns that were labeled the John Taffin Classic.

The one shown was #55 of the 100 and is pretty much how each gun was made. They were chambered in 44 Special and given some special treatment to honor a very good friend.
I haven't seen a close up of the new gun listed as the John Taffin Special but I am sure it is a fine revolver and a great tribute to a grand man.
