I remember asking Gray about doing a .17 K-Hornet in a Blackhawk back in 2003-04; right after Hornady & Ruger introduced the .17HMR. I figured it would be faster and, since it was re-loadable, more economical using the centerfire cartridge.

At the time, Gary said he wasn't interested in taking on the project.
