My experiences with them, they tend not to be very accurate, and they tend to lead up the barrel. (You are running a slightly smaller, all lead bullet that will obturate up to full diameter for the barrel).
5.56 / .223 barrels have a much faster twist rate than barrels meant for .22LR. (Typical twist rate for .22LR is 1:16", whereas 5.56 is 1:7, 1:8, 1:9 ie)
I have also had lots of issues with function; feeding, extracting, etc.
You are better off building or buying a dedicated .22rf AR.
I have used Nordic Components complete uppers to build two completely different setups.
The one I built for my wife is a 9.5" pistol, and the one I built for my stepson is a 16" "sniper rifle".
Both guns function flawlessly
