It made me think, the "feel" of guns...
Semi-autos don't quite measure up in like manner. Oh the 1911, HP, Ruger .22, and the ilk, have a unique and distinct feel. I could identify if I were blindfolded. However revolvers, I bet I could tell some just by the sound working the action. Really! An OM Ruger, "REAL" Colt SA (sort of a hollow clackety-clack), or FA all have such different and distinct action feel and sounds.
I think if you handed me a Reeder RH all reworked I could identify it too. Maybe his SA guns, as I have so many.
If you think about it, that is a good portion of the enjoyable factor of their ownership. The action feel and sensation, the satisfaction of sound design and engineering. Standing the test of time.
