This little beauty is the perfect Trail Gun. Lightweight, based on the Single Six frame. 6" barrel with a 5 shot 9mm cylinder. No moon clips needed. Fits the hand perfectly with the smaller Trail Gun gripframe. A nice set of ivory Corian grips on the deluxe Black Chromex finish. Two toned with high polished stainless small parts and the hammer and trigger jeweled to add a little class to the gun. Full action job and accurate too.
For a walk thru the woods this one is perfect and the ammo is readily available. Also would be the perfect revolver for the lady in the family. The Trail Gun is normally $2495 when we furnish the base gun, but is sale priced now at $1895.

In my shooting I found that the 9mm is a fantastic revolver round and gives full equal performance to a like barrel length semi-auto. You'd think the cylinder gap would lower it some but it does not. Maybe it's the tight capacity, type of powder etc. But that would punt a 124 gr. out a 6" at around 1200 fps! It just does.

Why Ruger does not venture out into like revolvers is anyone's guess. But a full custom single-five, centerfire, with hand fitted barrel and such... What a deal and no waiting.

I have a .40 like this and LOVE it.

cylinder gap you will lose no velocity due to the longer barrel. Plus in a revolver barrel your accuracy should equal and probably beat a semi auto's accuracy due to stronger rifling.
