I was tromping about with a couple guys, not really wanting to shoot anything this outing. I was more of an assist. But it would have been improper to go out totally unarmed. I carried my Reeder ElDiablo .44 Special with some handloaded Remington 240 gr. scalloped lead tipped JHP. I loaded 16 grs. 4227 if I recall, for about 950 fps. The old school soft tipped HP work well at this speed. My Simply Rugged pancake holster makes it a comfy companion.
We happened upon a pair of Four-horn Jacobs Rams. One was not huge but very symmetrical, not all crazy. I've had one on my list. Temptation got the better of me and the handgun is one of the most accurate I own for offhand shooting, despite only having a 4" barrel. I had to be a little cagey to slip up on the two suspicious sheep to get an angle where I'd not be shooting at my friends or anyone else (I learned this the hard way at HHC) you can never be too careful. I finally took a 30-40 yd. shot that was accidentally perfect. Sheep really need an expanding bullet and this was/is a great combination, it exited, but without too much fanfare. The Sheep was done very humanely. I only heard a faint "'ya got me".
It was highly satisfying to use my PCW for hunted game. It as not the last time I'll use it for sure.

You've seen this pic a bunch but that's the story to it. Good memory for me. I had a head mount done that Roman laid claim to, it's in his bedroom now.
