Both the hog and the bullet.
I did the "down-sizing" thing with the 300 gr. .45-90 bullet in the early days of experimenting with heavy .45 Colt loads. I sized it from .458" to .456" to .452" and used it in my Ruger Blackhawk. I sized some all the way down to .450" later on but that pretty well wiped out the lube grooves.
