Reeder Custom Guns - Saw an old .22 I really liked...

Perhaps some of the guys have experience. It was a Winchester Model 72 bolt action tube feed. It just felt really high quality and enjoyable, plus no magazine to misplace. I have plenty of .22's but I don't count .22's as "needed" additions to the collection, it's ok if it's just a want.

I love pre-64 Winchester anything. There IS a difference. You can see and feel the change in attitude that happened in corporate America about that time, in the firearms. I love the little M67 single shots and have a M62A pump. I also have really looked at the M74 and M63's. I like them all.

a day or so ago for a reblue. It is an 8 3/8" model 48 in 22 Magnum. Just about any quality revolver in 22 Magnum gives me the hots. Now if I can just screw him out of it.

It's so long I don't shoot it much. It was my Dad's, now he is long gone. The kids don't like it much either. I thought of putting a M18 4" barrel on it, but I have others, and handier .22 revolvers. I also have his M63 Kit gun 4". I keep it for sentimental reasons. It shoots fair, but I always wondered why not a lot better. Not quite as good as a comparable Single six. But it's a delight to carry, and everyone loves it.

Man, my Uncle passed long ago and I don't know who ended up with his prized 2" lightweight J-frame .22, forget the model number. Boy was it sweet to handle. After my father passed I traded off his .410 Stevens M94 (we had three) and a 8-3/8' M14 or 15, no T's. Also a 3" M36 square butt he threatened to shoot me with, in his dementia. Scared me pretty good, he was out of his nut. I just wanted to forget that, but I liked the gun. Just a bad memory attached to it.

We have a couple in our family. Very accurate, and not too common to find these days. As I understand it, it is a field version of the target action of that time period.

It was a fine target rifle but too focused. The 72 looks lively and fun. Of course the M62A is just a barrel of monkeys to shoot!
