in the past and will say it again. Most of the African info you talk about on here is outdated and no longer valid. You have recently gone thru a scary situation that should have made you sit up and do one more thing before you croak. That one thing is to spend a few bucks and actually go to Africa while you can. Experience Africa not just from words in a magazine but from seeing Africa with your own eyes.

You don't have to spend a lot of money. There are African booking agents that will give you a 5 or 7 day African hunt or even just a photo safari and for well under $7000. Let this be the one thing you can do while you still can. Hell, I will book it and go with you. We can even book several of the Misfits to go with us. Make it the experience of a lifetime and something you can tell your grandkids.

You have recently realized that life is short and getting shorter every day. If you are going to write about Africa you need to stay away from a Boddington type experience that is mostly bullshit and write about the real Africa. Walk the trails and see the animals you will write about, not just the animals from another writer's memory. My trips to Africa are some of the greatest memories a man could have. Not just memories of shooting an animal but all the other things you will experience by just being there and seeing the things you will remember for the rest of your life.
I know you are tired of me trying to convince you to take the things you will remember forever. I do this as a friend and from a friend that hopes you take the plunge and do something you have thought about for 50 or more years. I don't know how much longer I have but I hope God will allow me one more trip to Africa and if so maybe I can convince you to be there with me.
