Most made in China with all sorts of plastic levers, triggers, sights. I have an original late 1960’s M95 Daisy like I had as a kid. All pressed steel. You spin the muzzle cap to expose a port hole that has a sliding steel cover. No safety and the lever can “bear trap” if you foolishly pull the trigger while cocking. I think they were around $10 back then, give or take a couple dollars.

My first Ithaca .410 single shot was $36 at the discount store “Gibsons” in 1970. About the same as a cool bicycle.
